Source Navigator is an Open Source IDE (Integrated Development Environment) sponsored by Red Hat. It has a SDK (Software Development Kit) that supports extending Source Navigator with support for new programming languages. In this thesis, you should extend Source Navigator to support Haskell. The extension should be implemented using the GNU scanner and parser generators flex and bison. If well done, the result will certainly find many friends in the Haskell community.

• Core requirements for successful completion:
  • You must have a background in parser construction (eg, COMP3131/9102).
  • You must extend Source Navigator to deal with Haskell 98 code including the extension defined in the FFI Addendum and hierachical libraries.
• Extra tasks for the ambitious:
  • Cover the GHC extensions.
  • Provide more than basic language support.
