Gifted and Talented Program

The School of Computer Science and Engineering offers several specialised programs which cater for gifted and talented students. Some students in these programs further challenge themselves by enrolling for combined degrees.

In other cases, the facilities for gifted and talented students are separate from the programs themselves. For example, we offer several advanced and "higher" courses across all our programs, and there are summer scholarship and special project opportunities, among others, for top students.

In practice, gifted and talented students sometimes also find places in research projects and similar activities. One that is currently of interest (mid-2002) is the BlueSat project. Another high profile project is that of our Robocup team.
