To include new developments in knowledge management.

Why can the same objectives not be achieved with the current course?

The course content including title is less appealing.

Who are the potential stakeholders, who was consulted about the
proposal (inside the School as well as outside), what was the
result of that consultation?

AI academics.

Enrolment Impacts
Likely enrolment (with justification), and impact on enrolments of
other courses.
It will hopefully attract students who otherwise would take Information Systems 
electives. Students may also come from other than CSE Postgraduate programs,
as this is of general interest for management oriented courses.

This course introduces students to the concepts in knowledge management and 
knowledge-based systems. 
It will explore the potential advantages and limitations of 
cutting-edge knowledge systems for the modern organisation 
in the new era of the knowledge economy.
The topics covered include: knowledge management; document management; 
knowledge representation and problem solving; knowledge acquisition;
knowledge discovery in databases; knowledge level modelling; knowledge-based systems.
