I think the issue is that the BE MCom is NOT a combined degree - it is a complete BE and a complete MCom. We simply agree to put some commerce stuff into the BE. If students are taking some commerce as part of their degree, then this means that commerce courses are not normally to be allowed for Gen Ed. This is why we need to discuss it with the Gen Ed Committee.
