It seems UTS has found a way around the IT problem. According to our informant (an academic at UTS): They have separated out the IT requirement and award a separate qualification (Industrial Training Certificate, or some such) just for fulfilling the industrial training requirement. Presumably, to qualify for IEAust accreditation, one must have a BE and this Certificate. Meanwhile, students who cannot get the IT done can still graduate, and, if desired, go on to PG study.
