 From an Industry perspective, I think that this would be advantageous.

Given the plethora of IT courses now available in the market place, 
many of which would have or would be seeking similar accreditation, I 
think that we need to gain ACS accreditation to assist with 
maintaining our credibility with the general IT community.

Certainly, the "big players" know our reputation and quality, but the 
smaller companies, many of whom take our graduates, would be 
reassured to know that we have ACS accreditation.  It would also 
assist those of our graduates seeking work overseas, whether they are 
international students or Australians seeking to broaden their 
experience.
