I have recently moved to the Meraka
Institute in South Africa to start up a research group. You
should be redirected there any second now...
I am a senior researcher in the Knowledge Representation and
Reasoning
program (KRR) of National ICT Australia (NICTA), and a conjoint associate
professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at the
University of New South Wales. I received my PhD in
Computer Science from the University of South Africa in Pretoria in 1999. Prior to joining NICTA I was an associate professor at the University of
Pretoria, a research fellow at the University of Wollongong, and a senior lecturer at the University of South Africa.

I am interested in the reasoning capabilities of agents, both human and artificial. My research is currently focused on inconsistency tolerance, reasoning with ontologies, dealing with preferences, and constraints.
