Weird Observations
Every so often, you see something that makes you take a step back
about how strange something is. These have to be documented
somewhere, right? Well, here is my list of weird observations, in
reverse chronological orger.
By the way, if you have any weird observations, mail me or give me feedback about it.

In Australia, discrimination is not generally based on how you
look, at least with my generation. It turns out, that from my
observations, discrimination is based on your accent. If
someone speaks with a funny accent, *then* he's
different. We've got used to people looking different, but
somehow not used to people sounding different.

The University I attend
sticks its own bar codes on all items more than of a particular
value. This makes sense, to prevent theft, for doing stocktakes,
etc. Fine. Imagine my surprise when I find that all the
elevators are bar-coded. Why? Are they afraid the elevators
will be stolen?
