About WIC

WIC is an organisation run by female CSE students and staff which aims to cater for female students and staff studying, doing research and working in Computing. We are an open organisation, and are open to all initiatives that our constituents wish to peruse, so long as they are within the aims of the group.

Projects and activities are run by a group of core directors who have contributed to past events, and have been elected in by the founding members. Any female in CSE is welcome help run and event and join the directors team.

A draft constitution has been layed out at a meeting in early 2003. You can find it here. The WIC directors are very open to any suggestions, and are always looking out for enthusiastic people to both organise, and help run, projects and events. We are also interested in cooperating with corporations who are seeking to promote the status of women in Computing and IT. The directors can be contacted by mailing wic.exec@cse.

For further information about what wic does, how to help out and how to join specific project teams feel free to browse the rest of this site. Any enquiries about the material here should be addressed to the relevant email address as per the contacts page.
