Welcome to John Zaitseff’s Work Page! You should find everything you need to know about my work for the Centre for Autonomous Systems on this page. If you want to find out more about me (as opposed to my work), please visit my Home Page on the ZAP Group Web Server.
I am currently employed under a 28-hour per week contract with the Centre of Excellence for Autonomous Systems (also known as CAS); in particular, I am part of the Artificial Intelligence Group in the School of Computer Science and Engineering.
I am working as a Research Engineer with Professor Claude Sammut in the Robotics Laboratory. In particular, I was involved in designing a humanoid robot used for learning how humans operate their arms and hands, as well as in the practical details of designing our entry into Robocup Rescue competitions. I also help maintain the Robotics laboratory in Room 301 of the Computer Science and Engineering building.
