G'day Alex and birding-ozzers,
I've got a feeling I've heard "Bullen-Bullen" before when a petrol-pump
attendant in Cunnamulla saw my bins and asked if I was in the market for
wild-caught parrots, I think he may have been referring to Red-winged Parrots.
Around Dayboro north of Brisbane I've heard Crimson Rosellas referred to as
"Blue-mountain Parrots", Striated Pardalotes as "chip-chips" and Crested
Pigeons as "topknots", though I expect this is fairly common around Oz.
