g'day all,
Re John's posting of various honeyeaters at Barham
(NSW)
2 weeks ago I visited Lawn Hill N.P. (248km km NNW of Mount
Isa) which had Qld Centenary celebrations over that weekend.
Banded Honeyeaters also decided to have a get together. They
were flitting around every Bloodwood tree, and there are lots of
Bloodwoods adjacent to the parks walking trails.
Perhaps one in ten were in juvenal plumage, which tricked me
as the breast band was often extremely feint and the ear coverts were
a solid bright yellow.
Regards, Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Qld.
