Woodswallows

Last weekend, there were many Masked and White-browed Woodswallows just
west of the Blue Mountains in locations from the Kanimbla & Megalong
Valleys to Wallerawang. Interestingly, the majority seemed to be Masked
(reminiscent of 1994 which was also a drought year when there were flocks
of Masked around the area).

Speaking of woodswallows, the NSW Twitchathon is the weekend after next and
the Whacked-Out Woodswallows will be defending their "gold medal". Anyone
who would like to sponsor us and support a great cause - the Cowra Woodland
project - please contact me. And good luck to all the other teams - I hope
everyone has fun, sees some nice birds and most importantly, raises lots of
money for bird conservation!
