Just came back from a week travelling to various parts of the state visiting both my and my wife's families (a few days near Bingara and a few days at Orange). Some nice birds about, particularly on the Gwydir River, but probably the most interesting sighting was a single Indian Myna that flew across the road in the town of Carroll which is located on the Oxley Highway east of Gunnedah. Not certain how far west this species now goes, but I assume that is spreading up the Hunter into the north west slopes. Any other sightings in this part of the world or any other comments?
Cheers,
Peter
