Willie Wagtails appear to be autumn-winter migrants to the Coutts Crossing area. I have only recorded the species breeding locally on one occasion but every year there are small numbers in the woodland near our home. They often join mixed species flocks with Grey Fantails and other flocking birds like thornbills and Double-barred Finches.

I will eventuallly check my 21 years of records to see if they support the impression of a seasonal bias.
