Black-tailed Gull

I wonder how many examples there are of an unusual bird being seen in a
restricted area for a long while, or in the case of migrants for several
seasons in a row. Two cases come to mind in the Canberra area:

   - A Common Sandpiper (unusual/rare in Canberra) turned up on a sandbar
   in the Murrumbidgee at the same time every year for 4-5 years and then
   disappeared;
   - A single Apostlebird (the second ever recorded in the ACT, first in
   1948) has taken up residence in a park in North Canberra.
