Current Affiliation

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), Australia. I work under the supervision of Professor Sanjay Jha, Director of CySPri and NetSyS.

UNSW is ranked 31st in the field of Engineering in QS World University Rankings and ranked 45th globally.

Alma Mater

I recently submitted my doctoral dissertation for Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science and Engineering at The University of New South Wales* (UNSW Sydney), Australia. During my Ph.D., I was associated with Networked Systems and Security Group (NetSys) and CySPri Lab at UNSW Sydney, and Networks Group at Data61, CSIRO. I was the recipient of full scholarship throughout my doctoral studies from UNSW and Australian Government as well as top-up from Data61, CSIRO. My Ph.D. supervisors were Prof. Sanjay Jha, Prof. Mohamed Ali (Dali) Kaafar, and A/Prof. Salil Kanhere. The title of my dissertation was "Securing Software-Defined Network Enabled Enterprises Against Insider Threats".

Previously, I completed a Master of Science in Information Security at University College London (UCL)**, UK. My MSc thesis was supevised by Distinguished Professor Yvo Desmedt (ranked in the top 5%).

For my undergraduate studies, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with full Distinction at Heriot-Watt University of Scotland (ranked as top student).

I'm on leave from UNSW Sydney and visiting The Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems (CLOUDS) Laboratory at University of Melbourne. My visit is funded by Distinguished Professor Rajkumar Buyya and I am working as Research Asisstant during this time.

Research Area: Security of Software-Defined Clouds (SDC).

The University of Melbourne Computing Department is ranked 14th in QS world university rankings. The University is ranked 41st among all universities globally.

I'm on leave from UNSW Sydney and visiting The University of Texas, USA working with Distinguished Prof. Yvo Desmedt. My visit is fully funded by hosting institution and I am working as Research Asisstant during this time.
