Teaching Consultations


This document will be updated from time to time. Check web regularly
for the latest version.


Every week duty 1711 tutors sit in a room in K17 and
help any 1711 student who comes to see them with just about
any problem (just don't ask them to do assignments for you!)


Teaching consultations are designed to help you with
difficulties with lab and tutorial questions, assignment questions,
and any other general technical concerns with programming or unix.
If you don't get to ask your tutor in your tutorial then come along
to a teaching consult and ask the duty tutor.  They tend not to be very
busy (except in weeks when assignments are due).
So make good use of this FREE resource and get as much help as you
need from clever and enthusiastic ex-1711 students.


Teaching consultations for Higher Computing 1A are held in the
room K17-203 (off the foyer two floors above the School Office).


If you attended a teaching consult please take 30 seconds to
send
us your feedback as soon as possible afterwards.


Consultations start week 2.


Regular consultations

These run each week except in the period just before an
assignment is due (see below).


We will change the timetable from week to week as
demand changes.


We are going to stop regular consultations
because there isn't enough attendance. Continue to post
your questions in the Forum or seek help from your tutors.

are due.  If they are being run in a particular
week, it will be announced in the "Stop Press"
