COMP 1711
|
School of Computer Science and
Engineering The University of New South Wales Sydney Australia |
This exam is quite old and 1011 and 1711 have changed a bit since then. So it is of limited use as an indication for what you can expect in the 1711 exam this session - nonetheless it is good exam practise to attempt it under exam conditions.
Note that this was before 1011 and 1711 split - in those days 1011 was taken by all first year computing students.
In those days there was much more emphasis on unix and HTML.
In those days it was only programming in the small - no ADTs, modules, interfaces etc
Question 13: we no longer cover MIME in this subject (the answer was C)
Questions 22 and 23 relate to material covered in labs and assignments that year. They are fun to try anyway - but you will find them hard. You will learn general techniques to solve problems such as these in COMP3121 Algorithms.
