- The questions are not of equal value. Marks available for each question are shown on each question.
- The examination is open book. Candidates may bring to the examination:
- A device to access the Moodle quiz via the Internet (including devices to take and upload photos if necessary).
- Pens, pencils and paper for problem solving.
- Any notes, lecture slides, source code, or textbooks.
- You may NOT:
- Communicate (email, phone, message, talk, etc) with anyone, except the Referee or other University representatives, during this exam.
- Get help from anyone except the Referee or other University representative during this exam.
- Copy text directly (e.g. by directly copying or copy/pasting) from reference material (including notes, slides, textbooks, etc).

CONDITIONS
By starting this exam as a student of The University of New South Wales, you do solemnly and sincerely declare that:
- You have not seen any part of this specific examination paper for this course prior to attempting this exam.
- No details of the exam's contents have been communicated to you prior to attempting this exam.
- You will not disclose to any University student any information contained in the exam for a period of 24 hours after the exam.
- You will not place your exam work in any location accessible to any other person. This includes services such as Dropbox and Github.
- You will ensure that during the exam no other person in your household can access your work.
- Your zpass has not been disclosed to any other person. If you have disclosed your zpass, you should change it immediately.
Violation of this agreement is considered Academic Misconduct and penalties may apply.
FIT TO SIT
By sitting or submitting an assessment on the scheduled assessment date, a student is declaring that they are fit to do so and cannot later apply for Special Consideration.
If, during an exam a student feels unwell to the point that they cannot continue with the exam, they should take the following steps:
- Stop working on the exam and take note of the time.
- If the Referee or other University representative is present online during the assessment, make contact immediately and advise them that they are unwell.
- Immediately submit a Special Consideration application saying that they felt ill during the exam and were unable to continue.
- If they were able to advise the Referee or other University representative of the illness during the assessment, attach screenshots of this conversation to the Special Consideration application.
TECHNICAL ISSUES
If students experience a technical issue, they should take the following steps:
- Take screenshots of as many of the following as possible:
- error messages
- screen not loading
- timestamped speed tests
- power outage maps
- If the Referee or other University representative is present online during the assessment, contact should be made immediately to advise them of the issue.
- A Special Consideration application should be submitted immediately after the conclusion of the assessment, along with the appropriate screenshots.
