Role-plays typically proceed as follows ...

  1. teacher(s) develop: goals, scenario, roles
  2. students select and research roles
  3. scenario released; role-play begins
  4. students interact in role   (teachers monitor)
  5. role-play ends; debriefing
  6. teacher(s) assess students   (if assessed)
