On-Line Survey 2005

LiC Comments

Many thanks to all students for taking the time to answer the course survey.

The results mostly speak for themselves. The course seems to be in good shape, and specific suggestions for improvements will be taken into account at the next offering.

Specifically I'll take on board the suggestion (clarified in a followup meeting) of pointing each week to 1—3 specific papers that are recommended reading.

We'll also investigate other suggestions, such as spreading the lectures over two days. However, given my travel schedule in the past year, this seems very risky.

I'm more sceptical about the suggestion to move the events vs threads topic earlier in the course. The assumption that this might be useful for your project is contrary to my advise to keep the project simple. Nevertheless, we'll consider this.

Again, thanks for your feedback.

Gernot
